It's really weird, since when I play the game at 4k 30 fps, it's a lot smoother and not slow at all, only in large areas does the fps dip to maybe 22 fps at the least. I do have the disk version loaded up, so I'm confused as to what is causing the massive performance hit.

Did you change clock/timer settings?
Yes, I am using the recommended settings from the wiki. I have recently upgraded my computer, and am now even emulating on Linux running from an external SSD, I tried using the 60 fps patch, and I am not sure if it works better because the AMD CPU's are utilized more efficiently on Linux, or if it;s because I am using a newer build, since on Windows, every build after 8771 gives me an error about a missing .dll. Only downside, is that the audio is very choppy. Is anybody else experiencing this on emulator version 8818 on Linux?
I downloaded the patch to play it on 60fps, everything is fine but when cutscence starts it's stops like picture, only sound plays. Any solution?
Also the other problem is the sound is a bit delay, like 0.5 second.
I'm hoping I'll be able to play this on my (soon to be purchased) laptop.

Macbook Pro 16" (running Windows)

Has the following specs:
Intel Core i9-9880H
AMD Radeon Pro 5500M - 4096 MB, GDDR6
16GB Ram

Could I expect it to run at 1080p 30fps? 1080p 60fps?

TIA
I'm playing Demon's Souls NA edition (BLES00932) and I'm using Vulkan and I do have the Write Color Buffers setting enabled.  Everything else is default.  I have a GTX 1060 and an i7 CPU in a laptop, it's plenty powerful I believe.  I am able to create a character and play all the way through the tutorial with no issues whatsoever, it plays great!  And then suddenly, as soon as I die to the tutorial boss, where it should load up the next part of the game in the nexus, it just hangs up on the loading screen forever and never goes anywhere.  Anybody ever seen this happen before?  I've played through the tutorial like 5 times, after updating to the latest version of RPCS3, after restarting my PC, and just to see if the same thing would happen at the same point every time, and it does happen at that same part every time.... I get a bunch of errors at the bottom of my log that look like this:

U {PPU[0x1000017] Thread (NexusRevolution Main) [0x01d35bc8]} sceNp TODO: sceNpManagerGetNpId(npId=*0xd02689f4) x229

Ragdoll physics and transit to new areas from an archstone freezes Demon's Souls. Colliding with any corpse freezes the game, and when I touch any archstone and transition to the loading screen it'll freeze up after loading for a second or two (ripple effect at the bottom left stops animating).

Tested on these builds:
0.0.12-10848-22dc2947 Alpha
0.0.5-7227
and
0.0.6-8477

I know this is an old post. But this was caused by the old FPS patch. Fixed in new patch.
Use RPCS3's patchmanager (manage > game patches) and the latest patches will be there.
Hello
I am having a brightness problem since the last update.
The game became much darker even when i rise up the brightness in the game, before the RPCS3 update it was ok.
Is there any solution on that?
