ive been trying to play this game but i get stuck at the loading screen while trying to leave the nexus....
any ideas
When I get into gameplay, the game seems to run flawlessly for about 15-20 seconds, then without fail it goes into major audio echoing/stuttering.
The game itself runs great, which is why I'm HOPING my system isn't just too weak and there's something I can change in the settings, but so far none of my attempted changes have fixed it.

My specs:

CPU: Intel Core i7-4790 @ 3.60 GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti
RAM: 8.00 GB
Windows 10 64-bit

I will say that my CPU is slightly overheating at the moment and may be the sole cause of the problem since it's not running at full efficiency. But why then can the game itself load up so well? The video works flawlessly, it's just the audio that always bugs out after a few seconds of perfection...

Here are my current settings:

Bad settings. Use PPU + SPU LLVM recompilers and don't use lower SPU thread priority. You should also be able to increase resolution scaling to atleast 200% fairly easily and use 16x anisotropic filtering.
Our wiki page has up-to date recommended settings as well. https://wiki.rpcs3.net/index.php?title=Demon%27s_Souls
Quick question... Is the shield still invisible for everyone in the current builds? Thank u.
Is anybody else getting really low framerates with the 60/120 fps patch? It's really weird, since when I play the game at 4k 30 fps, it's a lot smoother and not slow at all, only in large areas does the fps dip to maybe 22 fps at the least. I do have the disk version loaded up, so I'm confused as to what is causing the massive performance hit.
Hi, fellow hollows. I have FX-8300 OC'ed to 4 GHz, RX580 8GB, and 8 GB RAM. I have some strange issue. I have the FPS around 30 all the time. However, all the things in the game happen if they are in slow motion. While this allows me to repel and riposte, as well as to time backstabs with the unprecedented precision, that kind of slow gameplay is definitely not for me Smile Have anyone encountered such an issue? Tried various combinations of settings with no avail. Also, the emulator keeps building and loading SPU cache with each start.

FX 8300 is too bad as a CPU and for RPCS3 in general. Won't work for Demon's Souls with proper performance, that's for sure.

Do not know about FX-8300 being too bad. Downloaded the 0.0.6-8056 build, and it works like a charm. About 30 FPS without slow-motion. Occasional textures disappearing. Better sound (less stuttering). Thanks for your in-depth professional opinion on the matter. Smile

In reality, it was a problem with the 60 FPS patch. Removed it from the Emulator folder, and everything is smooth now.
[FIXED it was a problem with the newest version of my amd gpu]

on certain builds when i get to a specific point in the tutorial i get this error

F {RSX [0x05fb854]} RSX: class std::runtime_error thrown: Assertion Failed! Vulkan API call failed with unrecoverable error: Device lost (Driver crashed with unspecified error or stopped responding and recovered) (VK_ERROR_DEVICE_LOST)

(in file c:\projects\rpcs3\rpcs3\emu\rsx\vk\vkhelpers.h:1051)

i made sure i followed all the steps for this to work. But im not sure what is causing this, could it be my pc?

win10
i5-7600k
AMD RX 580

Did you change clock/timer settings?
