The lighting is less... faded looking. I mean I know the original has a pretty muted colour pallette, but, it is less white looking that what we currently get ingame. But its really exciting to see improvements!
The texture quality has improved greatly. Things look less... plastic and wet. And the texture colours are showing through much stronger. Again, still a little to go but improvements like this are exciting.
can you post your settings and screenshots? i'm using the same build and i don't see any improvements.
Certainly. But I will have to get back to my PC before doing that.
The improvements were mostly that the lighting did not cause the colours of textures to look faded/whiter than they should be.
But there is also a newer version of the EMulator that might improve it further. I'm going to test that out later.
Here is a screenshot of the newest version!
Vibrant and green in the starting area. I reall am impressed at the improvements.

Hi, what configuration are you using to avoid the wrong rendering displayed in the OP? I've tried anything but as soon the game start (after I've inserted the player name) it show for just a second the correct image but then it change in a white screen. The game is still running, I can hit enemis and open menu (and the menu is rendered correctly) but while playing everything is white.
Write color buffers has to be on. Off results in washed out gray. (see screenshot)
Other settings are defaults + anisotropic x16, 150% resolution scale, and frame limit = 30.
Solid 30 fps for me thus far, no complaints.
Build: 0.0.5-6887-84ae64369
System specs:
Ryzen 5 1600X @ stock
16GB DDR4 @ 3066mhz
Geforce GTX 1060 6GB
So with the latest build I got the game to boot up, however I'm having issues with texture not loading and audio lagging behind in cutscenes.
I'm using default RCPS3 settings.

Nier replicant and Nier are not the same game although if they seem it, the Nier replicant is the Japanese version (young boy) with a different protagonist to the Nier European and USA version that have a more adult protagonist.
what I mean is both the Japanese version [BLJM60223] and the European version [BLES00826] work perfectly in the latest version of the emulator, but the USA version [BLUS30481] remains in black just loading the game, and been testing with a lot of different versions of the emulator, about 10 or more and in all the same thing happens.
this error again and again.

It was only a clarification, because I see that it is as playable.
I'll keep trying anyway.
If I had to guess from what I can see of your log, your media files were probably split up into 4 gig chunks so that they could be transferred to a PS3 via USB, and the backup loader would have stitched them back together during installation.
If you're going to use files you didn't dump yourself, you should be getting support from the place you got them, not here, because you're going to end up in situations like this where people are wasting time looking for emulator issues when the problem is a broken rip.
Removed all comments related to bad dumps of the game. Dump the game correctly following the instructions on our Quickstart Guide.
Comments related to broken dumps will be deleted, and comments regarding pirated copies of the game will lead to a ban after the first warning.
"Write Color Buffers" is still required to be on.
Locking the game to 30 fps is also required if you don't want the cutscenes to desynchronize. The game wasn't meant to go any higher, anyway.
Using Vulkan + 1280x720.
The only complaint I have is that when you're in the Northern/Southern Plains and you run past shades. If Kaine and Emil start attacking them. You get a bit of cracking audio and stuttering.
Other than that, the game runs at a smooth playable 30 fps.

Haha wow can't believe there was an easy fix to my issue. Thanks!
The game runs pretty well, I do notice some freezes here in there but hopefully with more updates to RCPS3 those can get ironed out
