Locking the game to 30 fps is also required if you don't want the cutscenes to desynchronize. The game wasn't meant to go any higher, anyway.
Using Vulkan + 1280x720.
The only complaint I have is that when you're in the Northern/Southern Plains and you run past shades. If Kaine and Emil start attacking them. You get a bit of cracking audio and stuttering.
Other than that, the game runs at a smooth playable 30 fps.

Haha wow can't believe there was an easy fix to my issue. Thanks!
The game runs pretty well, I do notice some freezes here in there but hopefully with more updates to RCPS3 those can get ironed out
You're welcome!
I also forgot to mention that the twins are completely invisible at a certain part of the game. I'm pretty sure this is an emulator issue.
It turns out that in-game garden depends on the console system clock. Is there any way to make it work on the emulator?
PS3's clock is initialized with your OS' clock value. Try reentering the game to see if changes appear.
Unfortunately it doesn't work. The garden is "frozen", every plant's state is unchanged.
Update: just found out what my problem was. In order to make your garden work you should quit the emulator when you are out of the game.

Yep. I can confirm that they are invisible in the
Shadowlord's Castle even when using "Strict Rendering Mode". That's the only noticeable glitch for me.
RPCS3 v0.0.5-6901-5c9d0e4b4 Alpha
Crashes after the Kaine sacrifice cutscene (after the Grimoir Noire fight). After that it wouldn't even load into the main menu, deleting shader cache fixed it, haven't attempted to pass the cutscene again.
I'm using 0.5-7017 and I'm having some problems with the vulkan renderer. It seems like the "write color buffers" setting isn't working with it, even in strict rendering mode. With OpenGL all seems fine, except for the usual flickering.
For me Popola and Devola are invisible in their appearance at the end of the game (both sections, in cutscenes and normal gameplay).

Just to let anyone else know, this is a problem with Nvidia drivers. I was using old drivers and only some old versions of rpcs3 worked with nier. Just update your drivers and everything should work fine with Vulkan

Me too man.
Same problem in route A and B, for now
