Confirming the build version and ps4 fw version that I've posted before
Completed my game
The game crashes once now and then (every 1-2 planets at my pace)
But in the end was able to get through it

Going to sound like a strange fix but whenever the ship levels stop working, I find that running any pending Windows updates seems to fix it.

Hi,

I don't understand how people get this to work.
The game runs properly until it gets ingame after the intro cutscene and the always freezes/crashes completely.
When I try to close it then, even RPCS3 crashes with an error message.
Sorry, the log file is 7zipped, because of the crash of RPCS3 it didn't gzip it.
Many TIA for any help to get this to run.

BR, Duke

Little Update:

I have just tried with disabling "Strict Rendering Mode" which seems to prevent the emulator from crashing after closing the frozen game. Please see the now correctly gzipped logfile.
After that I just for fun tried with a 300% scaling up to 4k which makes the game look muuuch better, but the behaviour is still the same as expected, just to mention.

I’ve found by leaving the frame rate on Auto the game is playable with 1 or two crashes.
Previously it would crash many times, or the game’s video would loop - usually when travelling between planets.

Could you post your settings please?

Here're my settings:
Using the latest Alpha build.
CPU:
PPU: Recompiler LLVM.
SPU: Recompiler LLVM.
Additional settings: enable spu loop detection & SPU Cache.
GPU:
Renderer: Vulcan.
Graphics device: NVidia
Aspect ratio 16.9.
Framelimit: Auto.
Default resolution is set to recommended.
Shader Mode: Async (multi-Threaded).
Advanced:
Core: PPU LLVM precompilation.

These are the default settings, I changed the Graphics device from Intel to NVIDIA & this too seems to have helped. This will only be possible if you have dual graphics.

Addition: Apparently there's also a patch which fixes the slowdown/framerate problem: Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction - RPCS3 Wiki You'll have to create the .yml file & name it imported_patch - I did this by opening a new notpad file, then copy & pasting the text from the site & choosing all files & saving it as imported_patch.yml
Choose canary patches then the version of the game you're running.

These are the same settings as mine.

As so often, I again had a look through all the settings, hoping to find a suspicious one.
Then just for testing I tried disabling TSX Instructions and BOOM, it runs perfectly fine and smooth as butter in 4k. Big Grin

But I'm curious, because on my i9 9900k these should work I thought, shouldn't they?

Thank you so much Big Grin
