Game crashes way too much with Vulkan option selected on the latest build and OpenGL is too slow.

Just played this game for 4 hours straight. No crash and 99% of times 60 fps.
Some drops to low fifties but nothing gamebreaking.
I dont think it should be moving to playable though because Im playing on an i7 8700 and even on this CPU i get framedrops and most of the times my CPU is at 50-70% usage. It'll probably rape something like i7 6700k!
Not to mention that game speed is tied to framerate and for a game like this (very action oriented) its essential to have stable framerates.

can anyone share their RPCS3 settings for this title? In general I get okay framerates, but there are still random crashes after playing for 10-15 minute clips.

I'm upgrading my CPU/GPU to i7-9700k and RTX 2060 super + increasing RAM to 32GB once I get it delivered from ebay and want to try testing this game more seriously again.

I just completed the BLES version with default settings. Constantly 60 fps but in a few fights where it can go down to low fifties - high forties.
It can crash after 2 hours or after 20 mins. Actually even NG Sigma 1, that should be stable, crashed for me after 1 hour or so, and the error message is the same for every game:

E {RSX [0x00cc2d4]} RSX: nv406e:Confusedemaphore_acquire has timed out. semaphore_address=0x40300420

My specs:
i9 9900k @ 3.6 Ghz

GTX 970
32 Gb @ 3200 mhz of ram

Since I upgraded my PC hardware last week, this game has been running pretty consistently @ 60fps. Aside from limiting framerate to 60, I didn't make any other adjustments to base config. Currently on Chapter 4, no issues. Crashes are a lot less frequent. Sometimes after 30min, sometimes not at all during 1+ hours of continuous play. Hardware specs below:

RPCS3 v0.0.13-11216-52fa69d9 Alpha | HEAD | Firmware version: 4.86

E {RSX Decompiler Thread} RSX: Unknown/illegal instruction: 0x4c (forced unit 0)
E {RSX Decompiler Thread} RSX: Hanging block found at end of shader. Malformed shader?

F {RSX Decompiler Thread} SIG: Thread terminated due to fatal error: Unknown register name: unk
(in file D:\a\1\s\rpcs3\Emu\RSX\VK\VKCommonDecompiler.cpp:153)

Garbage polygons/textures all over the screen for like 10 seconds, as if the gpu was broken. Gameplay continues. After everything seems back to normal, few seconds and the game crashes.

What are your PC specs? And what are your RPCS3 settings? Is there a log file?

I had that type of issue occur with my old PC hardware. It kicked my quad core CPUs butt, was just standing there changing camera angle & same type of random polygons appeared on screen, and then it froze 10sec later.

i9 9900k @3.6 Ghz
GTX 970

Default settings, resolution at 1440p

Could it be that my gpu is failing??

As soon as it happens again I'll post the log.

Does anyone have issues with input lag? The game runs fine for the most part but all of my inputs seem to be pretty delayed.

I managed to beat the game like this but its certainly not ideal.

I had this issue happen to me once, in the first stage, and then it never happened again.

With good hardware, this game can almost be moved to playable. I completed the game last night. It still crashes once in a while and it's always at random, non-repeatable spots, but I had very consistent 60 FPS, with only small slowdowns in larger game areas with more enemies where FPS dropped into the high 40's.
