As observed,
1st runner (No shader initiated before), I re-booted 2-3 times to bypass TEMCO Logo. It depends on your harddrive transfer speed.
2nd/3rd runner, I re-boot 1-2 times and so on (shader is built already).
For Story-Mode, use default Res. Scale 100% (720p) windowed for 1st time. If hang/dark cutscenes, close game window. Re-boot game. story-mode will be rendered correctly. (in your case, repeating process might help)
Hint, Try moving your game & rpcs3 into SSD and re-test the process!!
# Enable Stretch To Display Area (GPU) # Set Res. Scale Threshold = 1024 x 1024 (GPU) # Enable Read Depth Buffers (Advanced) ==> Fix some random fog/smoke density rendering.
@ Hang/dark at 1st Cutscene ONLY (Res. Upscaling) # re-boot game [to rebuild compiling shader]
@ IF Blackscreen loading after Temco logo || VM: Access violation writing/reading location (unmapped Memoy) # Select Load automatic and manual selection (Advanced) # Enable libsail.sprx (Advanced) # Enable libssl.sprx (Advanced) Close game screen [not rpcs3 app], repeat booting game until it passes [to rebuild compiling shader].
Almost Playable Beaten the game from start to finished with freezing issue at loading some cutscenes. Gameplay FPS is stable. Graphic/Cutscenes are well-rendered including fog/smoke/other effects. Sound/Effects are clearly working.

hi, can you screen your settings pls? my game freeze after 1st cutscene

Setting is attached.
# Close game screen [not rpcs3 app], re-booting game
1st run black screen
2nd run discolor screen
3rd run correct color screen!!
When I try to run the game with these settings my whole RPCS3 crashes and says "bad magic"?
I have the problem where there's a black screen after the koei opening
Able to run it at steady 60fps at 4K. But to get resolution scaling working properly, on GPU tab, change "Resolution Scaling Threshold" all the way to 1024, and check "Stretch to Display Area".
Without changing "Resolution Scaling Threshold", everything turned pink when it's not 100% resolution; Without "Stretch to Display Area", images are squeezed to 1/3 of the screen height(at 4K, 300% resolution)
And tested on my other older PC, with i5-3570 and 1660 Super, it does stuck at a black screen after the first logo screen when I change the “Resolution Scaling Threshold” to any value other than the default 16x16. But still able to get in game with default resolution.

Why are you recommending people use stretch to display area? All that does is stretch the image, which is obviously awful.
Also, 1024x1024 scale threshold will make resolution scaling look worse. Only 580x580 is needed for this game.

Only 580x580 threshold is required. The higher you go the worse resolution scaling looks. Don't increase it too much. The game has an inbuilt 60fps frame-limiter, you don't need to use RPCS3's frame-limiter as it will just reduce performance slightly. Stretch to Display Area is not needed, and will only make it look horrible on non 16:9 monitors / when windowed with different aspect ratio's
