Now works on master versions, download from rpcs3.net/download and ignore any and all links to strange hacked builds etc.
Optimal settings for Persona 5 are as follows: PPU and SPU recompiler, Vulkan renderer. 1 or 2 or 3 preferred SPU threads depending on your CPU (try all three), SPU loop detection must be enabled, and fps limit should be off.
Log file:
Code:
E {PPU[0x1000011] Thread (game contents hdd install) [0x0123e518]} 'cellFsStat' failed with 0x8001003a : CELL_ENOTMOUNTED
I got that message error when running the game. Game just got black screen with 58-60 fps. I'm using OpenGL rendering.
Hi,
Not sure if this is the correct place to post but getting this reproducable error about an hour into the game at an enemy encounter tutorial, using OpenGL with PPU and SPU Interpreters;
F {rsx::thread} class gl::glsl::link_exception thrown: linkage failed: 'Fragment shader(s) were not successfully compiled before glLinkProgram() was called. Link failed.
Crash happens with Vulkan also but saw no error message, the whole client just locks up instead and must be force closed.
PC specs just because;

Odd... It thinks it is a disc game when it actually is a PSN game... Maybe just reinstall the .pkg file. File --> install pkg.

That seems very bad... Maybe SPU recompiler will work around the sync issue.
You may also want to try the master branch builds. May look and perform a little worse but could run more stable too
https://rpcs3.net/download
Issue persists at "gun tutorial" roughly hour into the game.
Tested with each of the decoders on both builds (the one provided in OP and the master branch), same result just infinite hang and crash.
Attached log is fast PPU, ASMJIT SPU and Vulkan on the latest master build.

I have the same problem with the PSN-Version of Demon's Souls. Reinstalling did not fix the problem there. So I kinda doubt it'll here.

Well, this game has sync issues for now. Probably nothing you can do. I'm impressed you even got this far considering the bugs and performance.

Maybe delete config.yml. Yes the PSN version of Demon's Souls is known to not work but I did use the the PSN version of Persona 5 myself. I check the logs and it doesn't try to load anything from dev_bdvd. You sure you are doing a clean decryption with the .rap file and not applying some strange "fix" for real CFW PS3?
I tried the psn version. its works only on opengl for me?
Also install japan audio DLC. DLC also works.
Disk version don't work with Dlc. A friend told me that.
Do save work among different versions of the game such as usa eu psn?

Yeah I got that error when apply fix Japanese Audio DLC when the Japanese Audio DLC itself not installed XD. Just reinstall the .pkg and it fixed. Thanks for the help man
Wow, quick update just to say whatever has been changed in the last few commits has solved the 100% crash issue I experienced in testing previously!
Perfomance is still as expected, but being able to move past this tutorial section is great news.
Using this build: rpcs3-v0.0.2-2017-04-09-4c741e93_win64
Fast interpreter, ASJMIT recompiler and Vulkan
EDIT: Just to add, it only works with ASJMIT, fast spu still has the 100% crash.
