Hi, i'm trying to play this game but i'm having some issues. The settings are the same as this forum raccomandate and i reach 60 fps in the intro video, but as soon as the initial menu game starts and the game itself starts, i can't reach more than 7 fps. I got an intel i5-4690 as a cpu and r9 290 as gpu, plus 16 gb dd3 ram. it's quite frustrating, since i saw a video on youtube of someone who played it with my same cpu reaching 15+ fps. i used the latest build and the reccomended one, both do the same. please help me if you can, thank you Smile

Edit: i tryed with a clean installation and it worked, now it's costantly close to 30 fps and all, such an amazing work the programmers did! but i found another problem anyway, it seems like the fps is capped at 30 all the time, and this makes the anime video painful to hear and watch, even if i set off the fps limit. any suggestion? thank you

How do I go about making this game run with at least 15 fps with an AMD FX 8350, 16 Gbs of Ram and a GTX 980 Ti? What are the optimal settings? And I believe AMD does not support hyper threading?

That CPU is garbage, your FPS will be low.
Try running RPCS3.exe and then setting core affinity on 0 2 4 6 on task manager. Switch between SPU Interpreter / SPU Recompiler to see how it differs in performance. Always use PPU Recompiler though.
In config.yml you may want to try to set Preferred SPU threads to 1/2/3 and SPU pooling to true.

Maybe "invalidate cache every frame" or "write color buffers". Not sure, sounds like a driver bug. Update drivers maybe.

sir can you please move the status from "ingame" to "playable"? i already check with build rpcs3 0.0.3-5477
i test it with i7-6700HQ
gtx 950m 4gb
Vulkan
PPU:LLVM
SPU:ASMJIT
Auto Load lib

disable vertex cache
strict rendering
vsync
invalidate cache every frame

It fixed:
Flickering tree and floor on shibuya ground
Stuttering cut scene video and sound
run smooth on 14-18fps
fixed FIFO gcm issues
---------------------------------------------------
update:
it seems freezing at some point in the game
instead got gcm issues i got this message
F {PPU[0x1000000] Thread (main_thread) [0x0124484c]} MEM: Access violation reading location 0x0 x3

update:
rpcs3 0.0.3-5493 really did a great job (master)

it fixes almost everything
i play for 5 hours haven't getting any error. (can't upload the video thought)
fixed any of freezing
fixed ppu error and gcm issues
fixed crashing.
but still have problem when rendering snowblind-like graphic and depth rendering
i think persona 5 is already can be moved to playable

Vulkan/LLVM/ASMJIT
Well, with the special build. It‘s really playable. And I've spent 30hours in it.
But there are still some small problems.
1. Flickering tree and floor on shibuya ground
2. when frame is low(below 10 maybe), I cannot run or rush but only walk.
3. When using vulkan, some graphic details are lost. But with Opengl every details lost just come back, but with a frame rate drop.
Hoping these could be fixed.

I also have the flickering trees and some ground floor (metro and outside) sometimes.

Not a problem in dungeons tho, i tried different settings but they persist.

Flickering graphics were fixed already. But it's not in the blog post build. Soon this game will work on master version and every fix will be in one build.

Not being able to run at < 10 fps is a game bug.
