I just wanted to add that my bluray drive was able to read and dump a PS3 game. So I wasn't sure if you could add that to the list of drives able to read a PS3 game.
ASUS BW-12B1ST. I see the BC one listed, but not the BW.

There's no such thing as "piracy protection", it's just a Blu-Ray disc
Can you see the files for your PS3 game in file explorer? Make sure you're using your BD drive's latest firmware too.
