I've got an issue with my game here. I downloaded Ridge Racer 7 3D NPUB3045 on my computer. I can get in-game but the game freezes either at the menu screen, or when i'm starting a race. I've noticed that if i can get in a race, the fps drops to 10, and there's tremendous lag and i can only go this far. It's either freezing at menu screen or freezing when i'm about to start a race. Is it the game's problem or my hardware's problem, cause my hardware isn't very good either.

The game's definitely NOT playable. At least not for all of us.
I may have a slightly better CPU i3 6100 @ 4,5 Ghz but it can run the game at 60 fps and still I got this message:
Code:
E {RSX [0x0cc1b10]} RSX: nv406e::semaphore_acquire has timed out. semaphore_address=0x40300800
Or even this:
Code:
E {RSX [0x0cdead0]} RSX: FIFO error: possible desync event (last cmd = 0x2062000) x21
F {RSX [0x0cdead0]} SIG: Thread terminated due to fatal error: Dead FIFO commands queue state has been detected!
Try increasing "Driver Wake-Up Delay" setting in Advanced settings.
(in file d:\a\1\s\rpcs3\Emu\RSX\RSXThread.cpp:2318)
And it's not even that CPU demanding.
And no, setting Driver Wake-Up Delay other than 0 or 1 resulting in black screen at the launch. So it's INGAME for now.

From my experience I think the problem it's the version differences between Ridge Racer 3D License Ver (From PSN) and launching from the disc. On my PC (8100 & 1050 2GB) from PSN PKG, it was either completely dark only with sounds, or it freezes on the menu. But using the disc-based files, I was able to get in game and almost complete a race (and it freezes again), with default settings. So maybe that's the problem to someone it does not even run and to others it runs so well.
My conclusion is that this game has desync problems for low end PCs, you need a beefy PC to run the game without issues, maybe one with 4 cores minimum, but 6 cores is better.
I can go ingame, but have the same issues Emogop mentions on my dual core E5700, the game freezes after a couple of minutes of play. This happens on all versions of the game, both US and European versions.
I can play other not demanding games at decent speeds.
The most common issue I have is "RSX: FIFO error: possible desync event (last cmd = 0x2062000)" and the debug panel asks me to increase the Driver Wake-Up Delay, but no matter what number I use for the Wake-Up Delay, I cannot fix the issue.
Using an ISO instead of a pkg game doesn´t fix the issue either.
So devs should say the game is playable only for lucky people who can afford a six core PC, not for the rest of us.

I totally agree with you, have exactly the same issues on dual core PC.

for you guys with dual core cpu i can tall that mega man 9-10 vitra fighter 5 sonic 4 will work good.
but this game run at 1080p 60fps on ps3 use at 4 cores so get a 4c/8t cpu and test and if it is not playable can go back ingame
Yes I know that a PC with 6 cores or more can run this game at full speed, it also works fine on some PCs with 4 cores, but mainly at 20 to 30 fps maximum.
I would be happy just to finish the races, despite getting 20 fps or so. At 20 fps it is quite playable, not perfect but better than nothing.
With my dual core PC I can play games like Outrun Online arcade, Daytona USA, Afterburner Climax, House of the Dead III and others at good speed, but I like racing games and I´m in love with Ridge Racer 7, and it´s a pitty I don´t have a powerful enough PC !
So it seems 2 cores is not enough to run this game without freezings or other issues.

i have same problem with my i5 4570, is a cpu of 4 cores and 4 threads, no sure why but as emogop said it crash sometimes randomly or have the wakeup one, i havent change anything but maybe put mega instead of safe can help, im no sure but i will try that later, in any case i think that the game isnt playable since it freeze so ingame would be better for it at the moment.
Also i forget to mention that i get more crash when i leave the controller without pressing anything(like on view replay) than when i play the game, sometimes i do 6 or 7 circuits and when i put replay it crash after a while. Also the game goes near 60 fps for me, it get some slowdowns but isnt so much, but the funny about these slowdowns is that they arent if there are more object or any like that, just random, since sometimes i do the same circuit again and i get 0 slowdowns while the firts time i get some.
