So, for the record, the game is WORKING. The only extra step needed for me with the latest alpha build was the patch.yml and voila. I can't chalk this up to luck so I encourage everyone still interested in emulating this game to check it out.
Welp..... it's not like i didn't do what's was told about creating the patch.yml and put it to main directory. I already mentioned the same last month in this post https://forums.rpcs3.net/thread-194635-p...#pid305833
You can just scroll up a bit and you can see i was there before. And now even with latest build, it still no different.
I just have a chance to find and read the GitHub where this patch.yml idea came from and it is not even says "playable" it is still "in game"
And yeah, I tried again though, as imply in GitHub about using interpreter PPU but it still not getting anywhere. The same error message still pop-up.
I don't think this patch.yml thing doesn't meant for everyone or this game should be stated as "Playable" 2 months ago.

Sorry, I guess I just can't understand why I have been able to play it all the way through now. Here are the differences in my settings for what it's worth.

I'm aware you will show your config screen and here you are.
The screen is mostly an initial setup when running pcsx3 first time. Or should i say it is a default setup. Which i were there before too.
In my screenshot earlier showing the setup implied from GitHub about try using PPU (Interpreter) or try enabling cache, etc.
And it's still not given any difference.
Though, using PPU (interpreter) in both PPU and SPU is breaking in-game sound and sometimes breaking game event-trigger where it should play next event but in this setup, it will have to wait for sound to be played and finish first (e.g. waiting for character to finish their dialogue first then the game will play next event)
For example: You can beat Kshatriya in very first state of the scene (when it usually trigger the cut scene first)
Tried running Gundam Reborn with the current build about 6 minutes ago. Today is 8/24/2019 at precisely 4:14 pm. I received the following log which will be attached below this statement. The load was successful to menu screen went through them until the emulator tried to start the battle area froze on screen tried 6 times with the same results. I really hope they are still doing work on this emulator blog post are from June of this year with no current updates makes me sad. Hopefully, things will improve and this wonderful game will be playable.

So i just updated to the current latest version v0.0.7-8939 Alpha [2019-10-19] and tried your patch again. this time i got through the first mission and managed to finally save my game!!! Thank you so much for replying.
Can confirm it has worked for me so far.
Ah it's crashed again in the 4th mission
. at least I got a little further this time but still not 100% working for me. hope the devs get this one playable soon.
It seems the memory access violation error is hardware dependent, I tried the game on two different PC/laptops with the following specs and the game only works on the former, more powerful rig:
Code:
1st PC:
i7-8750
8GB RAM
GTX 1050Ti
Code:
2nd PC:
i7-6700
8GB RAM
GTX 960M

I would have thought my PC should be able to run it??
I have an i7 6700k overclocked
16gb RAM
GTX 1080 TI also overclocked
Could the overclocking maybe introduce instability for RPCS3?
I've followed all the fixes found on this forum and the game runs and looks great except I can't fix the spaghetti flailing as you can see from the video below. has anyone come across this problem?
am i the only one who have "geddan" problem ?
