If it's anything like Gundam Breaker 1, it needs Write Color Buffer enabled to fix that, but in GB2 WCB makes the game hangs after the copyright screen.

Also the game still randomly soft freezes when there's too much happening/effects on screen. It happens more frequently as you approaches mid/late game.

The screen turns black if your camera is obstructed by a wall/scenery object.

Not sure if it works that way on the actual console but I never had such issue in GB1 on RPCS3.

update: this is the error code when the game hangs. It's more likely to happen on the first time you play the stage.
Code:
F {rsx::thread} RSX: class std::runtime_error thrown: GetAddress(offset=0x260427, location=0xbad68000): RSXIO memory not mapped
(in file c:\projects\rpcs3\rpcs3\emu\rsx\rsxthread.cpp:208)

its not the camera that turns black the issue in my case, is only your unit to be black, while everything else seems to be textured correctly. i didn't experienced that before though

another thing while we'rea at it: the dlc for this game worked ian a strange way, they were normal updates, but to activate the dlc themselves (units and maps) you had to log in to the psn at least once..and that's it. Do you think there could be a workaround for that?

Setting resolution scale to 50% seems to reduce the chance of texture/UI flickering and hang.

I'm afraid there's no other option but to transfer the verified files and/or the save files from a legit PS3.

I've managed to fully complete the game minus DLC missions. The game's seems to run more stable with less flickering with OpenGL rendering and possibly muting the voices. For some reason muting speech volume let me play through late game stages in which the game would hang with default settings.

can you please tell me your settings? because on my pc, using latest rpcs3, games crashes every 5 minutes. if you are lucky, after 10\15 attempts, you can get past those zones and actually finish the mission
