Online server emulation

For the PS2 online services were shut down; however, some people gathered information about the online servers so that after they were shut down, they could be emulated, and some of those games are now playable through emulated servers. Unfortunately this wasn't done for every game (including some I would have liked). 
Has anyone attempted to start collecting this information for the PS3 online games, so that when the servers are eventually shut down, their online servers could be emulated?
