Just got some .pkg files from "PS3 Game Updates" tool, and instlaled them via RPCS3's package installer.

Still shows my BLUS30782 (Dark Souls) as version 1.00.

...

Did some digging and saw that the RPCS3's /game directory was filled in with the .pkg files after I installed them...but doesn't the RPCS3 boot the game from the /disc directory? If so, it wouldn't be booting form the correct directory (since the directory that has all the updates is the /game folder).

Soo how do I fix this? Is it possible?

EDIT: Just noticed that in the RPCS3 feed it says "updates found!" So clearly it sees them. I wonder if there is something wrong with the pkg files themselves?

It works like a real PS3.

You can boot disc games from every directory except dev_hdd0/game to avoid conflicts.
Game updates are installed to dev_hdd0/game as that's directory for game data, you can't write on discs because they're read only.
The disc will always be 1.00 or whatever version came on it. If you want to see installed Game Data on the GUI, enable Game Data on View -> Game Categories menu.

Ah, thanks so much. I enabled it on the GUI.

Appreciate your help! It must be difficult to manage this entire sub forum by yourself. I'm going to start donating ASAP to RPCS3 because I think what you guys are doing here is very valuable.
