PS3UPDAT.PUP under disc games folder

I`ve noticed some games have a PS3_UPDATE folder which some contains a PS3UPDAT.PUP update file folder.
Can I delete this file?

Yes
    Desktop: Ryzen 7 5800X,   Radeon RX 6800 XT, 2x8G DDR4 3600MHz, Manjaro Linux

Use it for what? It contains old firmware updates, which you can find anywhere, these retail FWs are already archived
