Playable, if you want to use resolution scaling then you need to set the threshold at 1x1 (16x16 cuts text off at the top) though due to the nature of the sprites and graphics resolution scaling probably wont even make it look much better.
The game also far exceeds 60fps if you don't put a frame-limiter on it and can make the game run too fast. I recommend OpenGL as it's more stable and you don't need the extra performance here.
