Sorry for my previous thread i made.
i know i forgot to read the rules...

I'd wish to know, is my laptop powerful enough for rpcs3.
i am asking this because my laptop can run the wii u emulator cemu very smooth. is the ps3 more powerful the wii u or not.

Well i haven't really tested that many games so i cannot entirely blame my laptop or rpcs3 app
what i tested so far are persona 5 and persona 4 arena runs at 60 fps.
i will try and see how demon souls performs on this.

this laptop specs are i7 6700hq
1gb ram ddr4
gtx 1060 3gb(it hurts!)
1 tb hdd hgst

i heard somewhere that an i7 6700hq is equals to a second generation i7 desktop is that true!??
i do not expect anything like 4k or 999fps.
i just want the games to be playable the way they were intended to.

it sucks it runs persona 5 at 21 fps inside sakuras house and at 15 fps outside. and the audio stutters like for every second during cutscenes.

I cant imagine good laptop for rpcs3. While your CPU is powerful as for mobile device, 60fps can be gained on powerful PC stationary systems.

Wait for spu jit and other cpu tweks, other rsx optimizations and speed-holding bugs. For now try latest revision (some optimizations) and varous video backends.

Your CPU also do not have TSX instruction, which helps persona alot, but that cannot be helped.

PS oh and note about WiiU. This system is different to ps3 because PS3 has weak graphic crad and all work is done on cell CPU. So emulator need high end CPU too. WiiU emulator on the other hand, use heavily your 1060 offloading many work on your card, so much less must be done on CPU, hence playable speeds.

Your laptop IS good for RPCS3. I use the same CPU, and a 960M.

It does have TSX. It could be disabled by certain vendors, but I've seen it enabled on my laptop which is an MSI and on a friend's Obsidian laptop.
I've never seen a 6700HQ with disabled TSX.

OK cpuz pictures confirms tsx is enabled. I was fooled because like intel ark site says otherwise.

So, other one with your cpu class laptop should say how it should perform. I think you can check all clocks, if thats not throttled or so.

Thanks. Then i'll guess i will just wait for optimisations.
What are some good gpu and cpu testing apps one that can both do benchmarks and tell about the hardware info.
