Does it still require Write Color Buffers and Force CPU Blit Emulation enabled for Chapter 4?

It does require WCB for a couple of chapters (off the top of my head, 4, 5 and 6). I never toogled Force CPU blit, though. Just finished the game, kinda playable with heavy FPS drops to 10 or less, as expected given my system's specs

Beaten the game from start to finished.  Gameplay FPS is almost stable.
  • Perfectly stable FPS with Res Scale=100% 720p
  • All chapter environment graphic is well-rendered (except chapter 4)
  • Random Misalign blooming/Few 3D texture when Res. Upscaling 2K and above (cave lantern/some bullets colliding dark wall/some bomb explosion/throwing angle).
# Gameplay FPS = (22~30)
# Cutscenes stable (59~60)
# RPCS3 v0.0.9-10202-adfc9d93 Alpha
# Default Setting [Res. Scale= 300% Fullscreen 4K]
# Intel i9-9900K @ 3.60GHz | 32GB RAM | 2070S 8GB Nvidia | NVMe storage (3500MB/2500MB Read/Write).

@ Blurry gameplay at “Chapter 4” only

Enable Write Color Buffers (GPU)
Enable Force CPU Blit emulation (Debug)

@ More FPS stability (Res. Upscaling)

Set Driver Wake-Up Delay = 350us

@ Lenovo Legion 5 Pro RTX 3060

Perfectly working at 2k resolution; FPS 22 - 30

Steam Deck performance is terrible. Cutscenes obviously great but gameplay is 13-16fps. Sprites (explosions) and textures are very buggy and there are random freezes while playing ingame. Audio has hard clipping and random loud artifacts too. Latest rpcs3 build as of 8/2022.

As expected, 15 FPS average is even above what I expected

Almost Playable
Updating post (27).  Gameplay FPS is Variable. (GPU Load monitor shows inconsistent performance with VRAM value when upscaling Res. unlike other tested titles, which outcomes with a variable FPS while gameplay and an intermittent drop FPS at recording). Graphics/Cutscenes are well-rendered.  Sound/Effects are clearly working.

@ Config Applied
Enable Write Color Buffers (GPU)

@ Stability Performance
# Set Driver Wake-Up Delay = 350us (Advanced)
