Does RPCS3 take advantage of multiple cores and/or any other features of CPUs - or is the base speed alone enough to go by in terms of getting the best performance? Presumably it needs to be Intel 6th generation+ to support Vulkan - but would an 8th/9th generation processor likely improve maximum FPS - perhaps in combination with the right graphics card?

And how about the graphics card in terms of getting most FPS? I guess this is more important than the CPU? Does RCPS3 work better with AMD, Nvidia or Intel? How about CPU/GPU combination - does that make any difference?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Here's an interesting benchmark: this guy has exactly the same graphics card as me (GTX 750 TI) from 01-Jan-2014, which is above average (ranked around 200/2000 in the above list).

On SoulCalibur IV he's getting around 26FPS using a 4th gen Haswell processor (i5-4670k)
On SoulCalibur IV I get around 22FPS using a 2nd gen Sandy Bridge processor (i5-2400)

That's a 4 frame difference. Both our CPUs are quad-core - 3.40 GHz vs. 3.10 GHz base frequency.

On SoulCalibur V I'm getting 35 FPS, so presumably he would be achieving somewhere in the 40s for that game.

This guy has a 4th gen i7 - only a 3.5 GHz base frequency - but his graphics card is up there with the best (GTX 970) resulting in 60FPS!
