I wouldn't be surprised if the RPCS3 lads start work on RPCS4 at some point in the future - if they haven't in private already Smile

Well I'll be damned, so there is. Never even knew it existed or heard of it until you mentioned it. Very early stages and cannot do anything with it, but one to watch and keep an eye on.

There's also a PS4Delta compatibility layer project in development and of course, RPCS4 is in development, in private. So there's a few PS4 emulation projects happening.

yeah, it was the same with rpcs3  i remember back in the ps3 days  everyone was like "ps3  are too much powerfull, too much complex, it will didn't  have emulator befor 2030"
and now   on 2020 we have a ps3 emulator that can play almost 90% of ps3 games

actually not much developer are focused  ps4 project, since most of the brains  work on rpcs3 but if there are peoples that  begin  to work 7/7 on it  it could go pretty fast
(but i personally don't see interest on ps4 emulator since ps4 look more like a ps3.5 than a real new console.
Difference ps3/ps4 arn't much hugs compared to ps2/ps3.
And ps4 don't have much exclusivity also, most game have a ps3 version or pc version)

PS5 is going to include PS4 Backward Compatibility.

Isn't it weird that PS5 can emulate PS4 but they chose not to have it emulate any of the previous gens?

Personally I think we'll see more feasible Switch emulation sooner than we'll see real, working PS4 emulation.

It looks like RPCSX has succeeded in booting it's first game, cool development.

Though I'm not sure why they decided to call the PS4 emulator RPCSX instead of RPCS4, PS3 and PS3 emulator names are no fun, how about instead call it 4play :-)
