Development especially with the low level parts of the emulator is extremely tough, it's up to Nekotekina to fix the regression he made. And it's far from the developers not liking this game, the regression that affected Ni No Kuni also broke a few other titles. These issues are to be expected, we are still in alpha.

The best thing we can do is report them with as much detail as possible then patiently wait until they are fixed. And the more users that test Pull Request builds for issues to make sure regressions like this don't get merged the better.

HI guys,
I'm new and i have just download this game for Rpcs3: i tried to play that but after the cutscenes, the framerate is very low (between 5 and 10 FPS). I wonder If the issue is my GPU or another kind of problem (for example the download)

I have a pc with NVIDIA GTX 650, Intel 1-7 and Windows 10

If you need a better description of my computer i can give you later

Ps sorry for bad english ?

Want to report that in build 7019, aside from the known problems (freeze in loading screen) now menu has visual glitches.

EDIT: (this bug was fixed)

and also @"Piccolo97" in the working build, i get around 25fps in town and steady 30fps in battle. very playable. (ryzen 1600 at 3.8ghtz + 1070ti)

Well... sad news:

as of build 7024, you can no longer swap versions in the same folder (last working build 6718).

the reason is the qt5 dlls in root folder have changed in latest build (7024).

now the game is really not playable at all.

So how come there was no mention about all the games being regressed in the latest blog entry? And why hasn't this game been changed from "in-game" to "intro" ?

Yes it works in an earlier build, but it does not in the current one. Which is the base point to have a compatibility list for.

The ni no kuni is blocked from the version rpcs3-v0.0.5-6718-737db900_win64, but that does not seem to matter here.
must think that all who are here for the first time are fortune tellers to know what version works, because if they see it as playable in compativilidad the last build of the emulator will be downloaded and not the 6718 or earlier.
the funny thing is that we are already on the 0.0.5-7027 and it remains the same.
I call him not wanting to do his job, because then what's the use of updating?
if it does not work in the last construction that remains in the loading screen it is not playable.

guys, chill out.

fixed in build 7069. all that remains is like weird glitchy lines in the sand.

will test with llvm spu to see if it gets bettter fps than 6718.

the fact is: before you could hot swap versions in the same folder. now that you can't, Dev's made it work again, so

THANKS, game is now BACK INTO "IN GAME".

hopefully this will be one of the next playable games.

edit: llvm SPU is a 'no go' as graphics get broken with it (it goes in game though)

@"Youbill36" Low level emulation is NOT easy, regressions are to be expected and fixing these issues in a month or two is not bad at all. We're still in alpha, issues are to be expected.

@"Slyponto" You can update old builds you just have to copy the qt files from the qt directory into main folder instead it's not an "issue" Megamouse just changed the location of the files in new builds and it doesn't allow you to update old builds by replacing .exe only (you should replace all files anyway).
SPU LLVM is still experimental as well. If you want to know how you can help more then ask on discord. https://discord.me/RPCS3 feel free to PM me there.

Ni No Kuni is running good again, actually much faster than 6718 did.
