E LDR: Invalid disc directory for the disc game BLUS30443
what do i do i read the quick start guide so many times please help

What does the structure for your game folder look like?

I have the same message
---------------------------------
E LDR: Invalid or unsupported file format: C:/Users/Mitch/Desktop/gamereenos/DeS/PS3_GAME/USRDIR/EBOOT.BIN
S LDR: Boot Game: boot done.
---------------------------------

what i am gathering is I did something wrong in the iso decryption process
first I will ask
will renaming the iso have messed up the decryption process? (I was renaming for my own OCD organizational convenience)
second
Which file should do step 9 on?
FILE_NAME.dec.iso
or
FILE_NAME.iso

EDIT: I am also noticing a problem with trying to Game Boot the Game disc in the optical drive as well (Demon's Souls)

You can't boot directly from the disc, this is the whole point in decrypting the data in the first place. You need to extract stuff from the decrypted ISO (FILE_NAME.dec.iso).
That EBOOT error means that either your file is corrupted or still encrypted.

Thank you.

Will "3k3y ISO Tools" work as "an appropriate extraction tool" (step 9)?

Did you check if your IRD file was the correct ID number?

it keep saying
even after i did what the quick start quid told me to do
E LDR: Invalid or unsupported file format: E:/PS3 Emulator/dev_hdd0/disc/Demon's Souls/BLUS-30443/PS3_GAME/USRDIR/EBOOT.BIN
S LDR: Boot Game: boot done.

and yes i did

it worked out here are the two file names
file 1:BLUS30443-[Demon_s Souls]
file 2:BLUS30443-B4CC51914BBD2F1721DFE7C09D5ED742 (1).ird

You have to rip the disc using the guide in the quickstart guide. Copy pasting disc's contents without going through the ripping and decryption process won't work.

And for the fourth time, it's
/dev_hdd0/disc/BLUS30443/

If you're trying to pirate the game, please give up.

I don't think so. I just use 7-Zip. You can also mount the decrypted ISO using mounting software like Daemon Tools and use Boot Game to boot from the virtual mounted drive if you don't want to waste space.

Big Grin Thanks for all of your help for real, it was very much appreciated and very helpful.

For future troubleshooting, I found out you can use 3k3y ISO Tools for extraction, and it will work without corrupting the file. I got it working!

I figured out the step I messed up on was patching the incorrect IRD to my ISO (most likely ruing the ISO)
So I basically started from the very beginning just to make sure I did it correctly.
I made sure that I downloaded the correct IRD BLUS30443 instead of BCAS20071 from the website http://jonnysp.bplaced.net/
I did this because I didn't properly understand this little tidbit of information my first time reading through it...
Quote:Please note that it is very important you use the correct region ID.
it was pretty easy to forget that information when I started reading the dumping section. A simple mistake easily overlooked. It makes it a little funny too because there was even a section that says the proper ID for Demon's Souls.

I have the game up and running, I really couldn't have done this without your assistance. I was able to think in the right direction because of it.

Again, thank you for your patience and support! I am certain you come across a lot of duplicate threads, hence why I used the search funtion and used this post to recieve assistance!
