I finished it multiple times, both in story mode and in chapter challenge mode. But I've noticed that even ninja gaiden sigma 1, that months ago was perfectly stable, now crashes as much as ngs2. I don't know if it's some form of regression in rpcs3, or my gpu on the brink of death.
Does the team ninja fmv at the beginning freeze/stutter badly for you too? One of the worst points where I suffer fps drops is the battle just after I find the falcon's talons in ch.2. Is that so for you as well?
The rtx 2060 super is a lot more powerful than my old gtx 970, so I'm trying to determine wether perfect 60fps is possible with let's say a 2080ti or it still depends on optimizations on the emu's side.
Granitic 60 fps but in a few instances, really noticeable tough, when the rest of the game runs so well.

I haven't really had any problems with NGS1, and I just played it again pretty recently. I think it hung up on me once or twice at most. And that was on my old pre-upgrade GPU/CPU (Radeon RX 480/i7-6700K).

The Team Ninja intro didn't stutter, but I did have it hang up once or twice in NGS2. I usually just skipped it after that to avoid the chance of a crash. It does stutter like crazy on NGS1 and plays at half-speed, but never caused a freeze that I can recall.

I don't know if a better GPU will lock this in @ consistent 60fps, my understanding is that the CPU is way more important for RPCS3, and that any modern GPU will do the job. I can count on one hand how many times FPS dropped into the high 40's/low 50's, but it never really affected gameplay. That said, the 970 is a 6 year old card, may be time for an upgrade.
