I found disabling anti-aliasing can give a huge performance boost. With anti-aliasing set to "auto", it would max out my 1080Ti and still only has 10~14fps; with it disabled, even at 4K, it only uses 40~50% GPU, and has double the fps, getting close to 30fps in smaller, less busy scenes.

It seems that I already disabled it but I don't remember what difference it made to performance - good to know that playable speeds ARE achievable if you have the specs though :-)

Yeah, it's always "Your milage may vary" for every settings. In this case, maybe my CPU has headroom left when GPU is bottlenecked, so removing GPU bottleneck helped. If your CPU is already closed to max out(on some of the busy threads at least), reducing GPU load may not help as much. And I also checked "disable all logs" in advanced settings, not sure if that helped; and uncheck "loop detection" in CPU settings seemed helped a slightly bit for me.

Huge improvement on this game with recent patch, hitting 60fps at 4K for the first time(that I know of)

Recorded 2 more chapters as it's smooth enough to keep me playing, until the final boss battle, which is still at painful single digit FPS, and that final battle is long and hard even with normal PS3 framerate..

(in file D:\a\1\s\rpcs3\Emu\RSX\VK\VKHelpers.h:3280)"

edit : NVM working with default config, i still trying to figure out  what changed this !
edit 2 : ok i had disabled antialiasing, that what causing crash !

Tested today running the game with Vulkan, but for some reason I'm getting as soon as it launches access violation error:

F {PPU[0x1000000] Thread (main_thread) [0x00062f6c]} VM: Access violation writing location 0x0 (unmapped memory) [type=u32]

Game has been patched to latest 01.29 version. SRM and WCB has been enabled as well.

GTX 1080 Ti, AMD Ryzen 3700x, 32 GB DDR4 ram

Please refer to attached logs for more.

RPCS3 v0.0.14-11518-6ae1f1b0 Alpha | HEAD | Firmware version: 4.87

Tested with defaults settings and Write Color Buffers enabled.

Version 01.01

Vulkan: Game works but suffers severe frame drops and wont go higher than 30FPS.

I just tested Killzone 2 with Vulkan backend in RPCS3 and on RTX 2060 it indeed does freeze and crash in the end. Just skimming through this thread it seems that this happens only on RTX 2000 series + Vulkan combination. Verified on my old GTX 960 and it's all fine there.
