GPU doesn't look like critical for rendering. At this point ignoring intel's SSE4/AVX doesn't look like the best idea. Any plans to use them?

They are used if available. Just not required.

I have Phenom 955 Black and neither interpreters or recompilers work - Fatall error "SSSE mandatory".

Any plans SSSE3 won't be mandatory for this emul?

Nope. You need a CPU with SSSE3. Anything that doesn't have it is too weak to run any games anyways, so there's no point in using them. You'll be better off getting an upgrade than waiting for someone to add alternative support for older instruction sets.
    Desktop: Ryzen 7 5800X,   Radeon RX 6800 XT, 2x8G DDR4 3600MHz, Manjaro Linux
     Laptop: Ryzen 9 5900HX,  Radeon RX 6700M,   2x8G DDR4 3200MHz, Manjaro Linux
Old Desktop: AMD FX-8350,     Radeon R9 280X,    2x4G DDR3 1600MHz, Manjaro Linux

D3D11 won't be added any time soon if it ever is.
A new or used card that supports OGL 4.3 / Vulkan / DX12 costs less than 100$ nowadays, there's no point in adding and maintaining an older renderer when current ones aren't even working properly.

You can pick up a PS3 for ~$100 new if you don't have the cash for a PC that can emulate the system.

Hey, hijacking the thread for a related question:

I was thinking about getting a Ryzen chip as a physical core number upgrade to my current Intel processor, and as I was checking some comparison pages, I noticed that AMD's offerings have way less instruction sets than Intel's.

I'm no computer expert so I can't even begin to assume how much of an impact this stuff has. Are they necessary to emulator operation? I assume things run more smoothly when you have access to them...
