You misunderstand me. If you look at the pic I posted, installation completes but asks that the game be reset through the PS button menu (which isn't possible). So how did you bypass that?
Didn't bypass it at all, it just installed normally. It creates a INSTALL_COMPLETE.DAT file but someone has said earlier that it's not as simple as dropping that inside the dev_hdd0 folder to make it boot. I don't know if I can share this file either so if a mod or something could get confirmation on that it'd be cool. It's a 24 Byte binary file.
We can always try troubleshooting together in the discord server or in discord dms.
So yeah consistent method of running the game is install version 1.01, boot the game, try to install (you won't finish from the comments I'm seeing) then you want to close the game. Open your dumped folder, copy resimg1.dat and drop INSTALL_COMPLETE.DAT from your ps3's installation of it into your dev_hdd0 USRDIR folder. The game should be able to load up just fine. Can also copy resimg1.dat from your dump to dev_hdd0.
So, after a lot of digging i was able to actually FIND the INSTALL_COMPLETE.DAT file and move it to the USRDIR folder as you instructed. But yet, still getting the install screen. How is this possible? I thought for sure I had fixed it after finding the actual file and putting it in the USRDIR folder. Now what?
Able to get into every menu except in playing in game matches now since one of the more recent build updates. Default settings for this seem to have gotten improved as I needed a workaround to get to it before.

This game still DOES NOT properly run in RPCS3. You can get past the menu, bypass the install, and get to the main menu, that's about it. If somebody that is in charge of this could figure out a fix, that would be fantastic. I should've checked if this emulator was capable of running this game, because I wasted 3-4 hours installing the file.

Unfortunately, I have checked every update for over a year now hoping for it to run as well. Still makes me mad this didn't come out for the ps2 as well like the first one.
I have the latest version of RPCS3 and updated the game but for some reason it stops during the install at the beginning. I have no clue what to do. I'll post the log file if someone can tell me how to.

Try the latest version of RPCS3, it may work now
Hello everyone! Im a newbie to all this and all i really wanted to do was play Blitz on the PS3. This game still does not go past the installation screen. I have not made any configerations (Latest RPCS3, and Version 1 of the game- the game has new v10.10). I'll try and get the new v10.10 of the game and give it another try. Fingers crossed.
ok so when i was stuck on the press x part i bypassed it with doing some trials and errors the fps is going and not frozen just on the screen where it says "The previous game data installation was incomplete. the game data must be reinstalled." what i did was went to advanced and checked libvdec,libsysutil_video_player,libsysutil_savedata,libsysutil_np_installer
