Yeah, illynir finished it a couple days ago with no major issues, i played it for 15 hours too. It's honestly probably playable now.
@Scale You can find people's version settings etc in their log files. But just use the latest build of RPCS3, there's no need to use anything older.

I've been using the latest version and regularly updating since the 0.0.5-7500's. Default settings, Vulkan is faster but prone to crash with the unknown magnify filter error if you can't keep a perfect 30 FPS, and OpenGL is a little slower but more stable.

Yeah, I have about 25 hours of playtime now (past Phil's Nightmare) with barely any crashes in OpenGL. Vulkan isn't quite as stable (sometimes has unknown magnify filter and GFX FIFO RET without CALL crashes) but is mostly reliable as well, and a bit faster.

I tried the latests versions with default configurations (with Open GL and Vulkan) and the game crashes a lot (every 15-20 min). My pc is a i5 4690k, amd rx580 8gb, 16gb ram, w10. I will have do something with the configuration of rest of components for do the game playable?

What's the crash message? There should be an error message somewhere, probably under "F" in the RPCS3 log.

Yeah I had a look at your log and the freeze is caused by the last line: GFX FIFO found RET without corresponding CALL. This is a known issue and seems to happen more often on some devices than others (possibly a concurrency problem), and the devs have been notified on GitHub. Unfortunately this can only be fixed in a future update, but you could try setting the RPCS3 process priority to "Realtime" in the task manager and see if that helps reduce the amount of freezes.

I tried to priority the process and nothing :Sad I will wait for an update that fix this error. Thanks for the help.

I have a similar config as yours. It would only crash if I am full screen. I can play for hours when it is in windowed mode. Try that if it solves the problem. Somewhat annoying with the windows borders but a lot better than crashing.

Ni No Kuni works for me best in maximized widow. Is it possible to disable this ugly Windows Titlebar on top? Something like borderless Windowsmode would be nice. I would appreciate any help.

The game is still crashing for me regularly, at a near-unplayable rate (about once every 20-30 minutes, if not sooner). The crash error varies from "unknown magnify filter" to "unknown wrap filter" to "discarded queue." I've tried setting process priority to high, running as an admin, running in a window, using Vulkan vs OpenGL, closing all other programs on my PC to improve performance, etc.

My specs: i5-4670k, GTX970, 16GB RAM, Windows 8.1

Any recommendations? Is this mostly because my PC can't keep up? Or should I put the game down for a bit and wait for an update?

Update: So I did some more testing today and have gotten a stable configuration. I updated my GPU drivers, updated to the most recent version of rpcs3 (0.0.5-7767), and everything seems to be working now. No crashes after about 3 hours.

For anyone still experiencing troubles, I'm running the game in native resolution, in a window, with all default settings. If you still have issues, run as an admin and set process priority to high in task manager. Seems the crashes were due to my CPU being overworked.
