MGS4 Freezes after a few seconds of gameplay

I'm trying to setup MGS4. I followed the wiki page instructions for settings and added the canary patch, but whenever I start virtual range the game freezes after 10-15 seconds of gameplay. If I try to start a new game, then the game freezes when I select a difficulty option. 
I have attached the log file.

The version of the emulator you are using is from before the cellSpurs issue was fixed, so this version requires that patch as well as the Crash Fix patch you have already added. Either add the cellSpurs canary patch or update the emulator.
