i had an idea. since the emulator has a save power feature. and i can do affinity on task manager. also if need be adjust clock speeds using ryzen master.

would it be helpful to figure out the bare minimum cores(threads)/clock speed? since i have a R9 7900x 12 cores. i can test from 4 up to 12. to see if 4 is all you need or you might need more. it's just an idea.

example. if i limit it to 8cores 16 threads. and my clock speed is at 4.8-5Ghz. that's equal to 9900k. (yes ipc is different and architecture so not apples to apples. but it gives a ball park. akin to steam system requirements)

the 2 games ... 3 if i can get it to work.

MotorStorm Apocalypse (playable now)
Ninja Gaiden 3: Razors Edge (playable now)
J-stars Victory VS+ (crashes mid fight, even tho audio still plays)

the rest are playable regardless. but i can do it to them as well if wanted.

reason for not mentioning GPU.. you can't really limit it. hence a cpu test... unless someone makes a build for me so i can manually adjust power allowed from GPU. (while you can't limit cuda cores.... least i don't think. you can limit Vram and if you use the same slider for CPU on GPU x% of 100% = whatever gpu that would be. problem is what source would we use if you do half of 3060 is 970 (according to techpowerups) but according to userbenchmark it's 104% difference and 1660 is 46%. but go the other way. 50% 3070 both agree.

in short. we know 2080=3070. etc. but since i doubt there is a standardized site that all can agree on. if this becomes a thing. each would just have to site the source on how they came to that conclusion. (it needs 80% of my gpu and (techpowerups/userbenchmark/gpubenchmark/etc. says that is X gpu.)) the rest can extrapolate from there.
