The speedrunning community is trying to run the ps3 version of NFS The Run. Someone got to play the game by dropping the CPU clock down to 50% or less. He used these settings:

Setting a gigantic SPU block size can increase the chances of the game lasting longer too.
That being said, is there any kind of hack or workaround that allows the user to control the CPU clock speed on the fly? Do you guys know anything that can improve the gameplay of this particular game title?
