issues booting into VSH/XMB (ver. 4.89)

Hi, I'm trying to boot into the most recent version of the VSH/XUB and can't get past the boot sequence. I get the error "system storage cannot be accessed (80029c41)" accepting the error brings me to a loading cycle and I can't do anything.

I got the firmware file directly from the PlayStation site (version 4.89)

RPCS3 is up to date on the most recent version

my own game dumps run with no problem

I have an RTX 3060 and ryzen 5 5600g

any idea on what could be causing this issue?

I also got the same system storage error while setting up the VSH/XUB
