Hi!

Sorry if i posting this in the wrong forum.

I want to build a new PC, and for its cpu specs i want to choose one according rpcs3 recommendended specs.

I have about 325$ budget constraint on this, so my question would be...

for a 10th gen Intel cpu which is better for rpcs3 emulation?

-4 core with hyperthread (total: 8 thread)

OR

-6 core without hyperthread (total: 6 thread)

which is more important the number of physical cores or the number of threads?

Im asking this because its not clear for me

thx

What CPUs specifically
    Desktop: Ryzen 7 5800X,   Radeon RX 6800 XT, 2x8G DDR4 3600MHz, Manjaro Linux
     Laptop: Ryzen 9 5900HX,  Radeon RX 6700M,   2x8G DDR4 3200MHz, Manjaro Linux
Old Desktop: AMD FX-8350,     Radeon R9 280X,    2x4G DDR3 1600MHz, Manjaro Linux

srry looks like all 10th gen Intel cpu's are equipped with hyperthreading. A oversight from my part.

But i have another question tied to the number of cores VS clockspeed.

currently i want to decide beetween these two CPU

- Core i3-10100 (3.6 Ghz, 4 cores, 8 threads)

OR

- Core i5-10600 (3.3 Ghz, 6 cores, 12 threads)

which is more important? the clockspeed? or the number of cores/threads?

which gives the better performance for RPCS3?

i5-10600 easily destroys i3-10100. i5-10600 also has double cache size and higher boost, but RPCS3 uses the extra cores too.
