RPCS3 v0.0.9-10228-0df6c415 Alpha | HEAD | Firmware version: 4.85
Intel® Core™ i7-4790 CPU @ 3.60GHz | 8 Threads | 15.94 GiB RAM | TSC: 3.598GHz | AVX+ | FMA3

I know this title is already marked as Playable but I thought I'd put my experience of it here, since GK seems to have only played the first half hour. Finished the game from start to finish on the emulator and performance was outstanding throughout. However, there are a few things to keep in mind:
  1. The game seems to run at unlocked FPS, so users need to set Framelimit to 60 (or enable VSync on a 60Hz monitor) and set Vblank rate to 30Hz. This will cap the FPS in the free-roam sections to 30FPS while providing 60FPS in battle sequences and menus, similar to what we see on an actual PlayStation 3.
  2. The game occasionally loses the background music after a few seconds into a scene. This happens once in a while when you transition from one event to another. However, the background music immediately returns if you move from one area or another, or even enter into a battle. It is very rare for this to actually have any prolonged impact since you continuously enter and exit events in this game. Also, some users have noted that limiting the PPU Threads option to 1 alleviates this issue. I didn't bother doing this, since the effects of this bug was extremely minimal.
  3. On rare occasions, the game crashes. This happened to me 2 times in my 70 hour playtime. Since I used the quick-save option often, I didn't lose any progress. The crashes were rare enough that I would still consider this game playable.
  4. With regards to FPS, I got a locked 30FPS in the free-roam mode in all areas except Duval Downtown, where FPS dropped to low 20s [Image 4]. I have no clue why this happened, since the area didn't look graphically taxing. In battles, FPS was always above 50FPS even with a lot of effects on screen. The only place where I saw FPS dip to mid-40s is during special move cutscenes [Image 5] that have an insane amount of effects. But you can't move your character during this time, so it's not an issue at all.
Overall, I'd call this title comfortably playable.
