Hello,
I plan to upgrade my old hardware (an athlon x2) and one of my goals is to be able to use rpcs3.
As long as I can play at native resolution with a correct fluidity, its' all right.
Being a rpg lover, the main game I'de like to be able to play is Persona 5 (at 30 fps). Also the Gust games.
So, here are my questions:
1- Is a Ryzen 2600x enough to achieve these requirments?
2- I understand that a weak GPU is enough. I've always bought fanless graphic cards for minimize the noise. Do you think a fanless GT 1030 is ok with rpcs3?
3- If I choose a micro atx case, do I have to care about overheating?
4- I don't use Windows, but Linux (Ubuntu). Do I have specific points to consider when choosing the hardware?
Thanks in advance
(sorry if there are mistakes in my writting, english is not my native language)

I don't know what is the minimum for a gpu but if I don't put my GTX1060 at constant "prefer maximum performance" from the nvidia control panel, the shaders creation is a lot more notable.
For a cpu,my i7-6700HQ is weaker than 2600x(not by a lot)and I limit it to base clock(I don't enable turbo mode because of noise and heat for not much fps difference)but I clear:
Atelier Shallie - - 60fps except on some battles with a lot of effects and some areas
Atelier Escha & Logy - same but less often
Ar nosurge: Ode to an Unborn Star - I didn't clear it yet but same as above
Ar tonelico Qoga Knell of Ar Ciel - same
Persona 5 - above 30fps(using the 60fps patch)except in some areas
I don't know how using linux will affect the speed

If you're going that low spec, I'd say you'll do better with a Ryzen 3400G. Compared to the 2600X + 1030, it's cheaper, and faster. Not entirely sure how it handles RPCS3 though.
If buying EXCLUSIVELY for RPCS3, look at Intel for now. There are optimizations that make it run a lot better, like TSX.

Thanks for the replies. I'll look about the Ryzen 3400G.
I know about TSX, but I'm not buying exclusively for rpcs3, and Intel CPU's are so much expensive than AMD's!
And do you have an advice about the possible overheating?

I think it's not supposed to overheat, even with the stock cooler. The Wraith Spire (the cooler it comes with) is pretty decent. If you want to make sure, get some better thermal paste to replace the one that comes pre-applied.
Also, just in case, you don't need a X570 board for it, a B450 should do just fine, so whatever you picked for the 2600X should do just as well. Just keep in mind to look for those that say "Ryzen 3000 ready", since, otherwise, you need a previous gen CPU to replace the BIOS.

It's pretty complicated to understand all these things about chipset!
