Can someone please help me? Rpcs3 closes whenever I click the config tab. It also does the same thing when I click on any of the options under the drop down config menu. I can't find any info on this issue anywhere.

We need more information than that. Upload the log and your current config files if you have modified them since setting up RPCS3.

Does it happen on a fresh setup of RPCS3 as well or not?

I am having the exact same problem. I just downloaded RPCS3 and as soon as I clicked config it stopped responding. Logs attached.

i'v been struggling with the exact same issue for over a month. i found out by accident that connecting my external headphones to the pc has unexpectedly solved the issue! i haven't a clue how that could be related to crashing the emulator but i guess pc erros can have infinite casues  Dodgy  be sure to give it a try becasue it definitely solved the issue for me. Although as soon as i unplug the headphones the crash reoccurs when i click config. i don't know if making some audio adjustments in the emulator config while having the headphones plugged in will fix it completly. I'll give a try.
