Is an i7 2600 better than Ryzen 3 3200g for RPCS3?

Hello all, new guy here. Discovered RPCS3 after watching a Youtube vid on setting up Rock Band 2 Deluxe.

So I installed everything no problem and it worked like a charm with full FPS on the default settings.
This was on my test rig, a 10+ year old Dell Optiplex with an i7 2600, upgraded with 16GB ram and a GTX 1060 card.

Jump to today and I have just installed everything again on my gaming PC with a Ryzen 3 3200g and I'm getting terrible FPS.
So I'm wondering if this processor doesn't work well with RPCS3?
My gaming PC is only 2 years old so much newer tech all around with 16GB ram again and the same GTX 1060 card.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. If it is my processor I'll upgrade.

Thanks
Ani

3200G only has 4 threads so you're getting severely thread throttled, it's a really bad CPU
    Desktop: Ryzen 7 5800X,   Radeon RX 6800 XT, 2x8G DDR4 3600MHz, Manjaro Linux
     Laptop: Ryzen 9 5900HX,  Radeon RX 6700M,   2x8G DDR4 3200MHz, Manjaro Linux
Old Desktop: AMD FX-8350,     Radeon R9 280X,    2x4G DDR3 1600MHz, Manjaro Linux

Ok thanks for that. I'm really not up on this stuff.

Will grab a 5600x then... or a 5800x if my motherboard will support it.

I use a 5600x with a GTX 980 and most games I try run great. It can bog down a bit when games under "ingame" are played. I'd recommend.

Ok thanks I'll try the 5600x then since it's $100 less than the 5800x.

Hopefully it will be comparable to my i7 which seemed to run the game perfectly.
