Follow~up
: Akin to how I had demonstrated with
PGA Tour '12 earlier this year, Full Rounds on any venue can be done in
PGA Tour '14 when playing on Vulkan with the PPU Decoder set to
Interpreter (Static), which will completely prevent witnessing the Unmapped Memory error when loading up the next hole or a Playoff/Tiebreaker scenario; this seems to be the only feasible method to play multiple holes consecutively and even potentially do the Career Mode without enduring a crash that this will be the way to go until more optimizations can be done when on Recompiler (LLVM); for performance on my end, Interpreter (Static) cuts the top framerate from about 077 FPS to not often more than 042 (the average on Interpreter is about 030+ with some dips into the Mid~Teens on a Ryzen 5950X/Radeon VII combo, dependent on Active Model Count, which is about the Stock level of performance that this and
'13 had on native hardware; when playing on LLVM, you will find that Player Cutscenes will end prematurely, as they are moving too fast for the game engine to handle, an issue that is also apparent when skipping the same type of cutscenes in
'12).
The below Data Logue and footage showcase from
Build 13972 ("0.0.23-13972-577f379a Alpha (Master)") presents some of my findings; I am still deep in the infancy of playing this entry, so I know little on how Career Mode and some of the other modes outside of Practice Round and Player Creator will hold up in the Longterm, though knowing my history with
'12, it is likely that
'14 will endure virtually the same circumstances, wishfully with some improved level of stability.
