Having trouble launching a game in RPCS3 on my Steam Deck. Trying to play Infamous, which I have seen several videos of it running beautifully on the RPCS3 setup. Every time I try to run the game, it asks for the system firmware/.pup file, which I have on the Steak Deck, in the proper folder IIRC. How ever, after trying to load that, the emulator freezes. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!!  I am fairly new to using the emulator, and just want to get this up and running Smile

Which log file am I missing? Trying to get to work for 2 different games, just want to get this right

I have the PS3 system .pup file, and I believe I have the game is the right folders, since it shows in the available game list in the RPCS3

PS4 system firmware is irrelevant, this is a PS3 emulator
inFamous is not going to be anywhere near Playable, so pick a game that's listed as Playable on the compatibility list and upload the log file from that

Infamous doesn't run well on the Steam Deck. Frame rates are going to be 20's at best and dipping to teens or single digits often. I couldn't find any way to get it playable / near 30 fps. Check out a few more tutorials if you want to get the emulator running on the deck.

The problem is not the setup, it's the games they are trying. Not every Playable game will work on something as weak as the Deck, let alone stuff that isn't even listed as Playable.

Hello, I'm new here, and I've had this on my mind as one of the first things I wanted to ask and mention as soon as I've joined.

Do you think the Deck could ever get to a point where the performance will finally be seamless and well optimised?

I'm just curious if it technically could be possible with more work put into it. I'm also fine with the "Maybe, but it could take years" answer.

Steam Deck is too weak. It will never be good enough to emulate demanding PS3 games correctly.
You have to look at other handhelds or wait for Deck 2 and hope it has way more powerful hardware.
