issues with saving the game in Ratchet and Clank ToD [BCES00052]

hey so after some dicking about i have got Tools of Destruction to run with relative stability, but i have an issue where i cant save the game, not to say that it wont let me, what happens is it says it saved and i can view that save in load game and the main menu, but attempting to load it reverts me back to the very start of the game, i even progressed to the next planet to make sure it wasn't just the first planet.

as the game isn't crashing or encountering any obvious error im not sure a log will help but i will of course attach it regardless 

anyone fixes or advice would be greatly appreciated, game still crashes too much to rely on just never closing it

What are your Rig specs? I noticed theres a thread under the Intro for this game were a couple people discuss this same issue, no one discusses a specific solution for it, but perhaps if we try some of the setups that the people used who actually claimed to finished the game entirely, perhaps it would benefit you.
