I am unable to select the Dualshock 4 handler when my DS4 is connected (USB).
A blank crash screen appears (attached as "WithDS4ConnectedFirst").

If I disconnect the DS4, I can then select the Dualshock 4 handler and save, however, if I connect the DS4 and then try to go back into the Pads tab, it crashes with Fatal Error shown in screenshot "WithDS4ConnectedAfterSaving".

Logs and system info are attached. I am using the latest PS3 firmware (4.84) and the latest build of RPCS3 (0.0.6-8440 Alpha).

NB: I have tried two DS4 controllers with 3 different USB cables, all of which work fine in the PS1 (ePSXe) and PS2 (PCSX2) emulators.
I do not have DS4Windows, or any other Input Mapping software installed or running. Windows automatically detects the controller as "Wireless Controller".

Cheers,
Nathan

Are you doing this without any game running?
Starting a game with DS4 handler set with a disconnected controller and then connecting it mid game causes RPCS3 to crash, it's a known issue

Hi there,

I've not added any games to the system yet. Just trying to get the controller set first.

Cheers.

I have "resolved" this issue. I had removed the battery from my DS4 controllers, as I had no intention of using them wirelessly. It seems RPCS3 does not like that idea. The controllers work fine with the battery in and charged.
