Hello,
I am tryng to boot Railfan Taiwan (BCAS20018) with PS3 emu (latest version from website rpcs3-ReleaseLLVM-5db0f477)
The game is installed in HDD0 inside the emulator and tis being booted via boot /eboot ini from the game directory.
Each time i get Access violation error and the game wont even go to logo /intro.
I have tried with diffrent settings in config, same error
-While trying to boot game with PPU decoder Recompiler LLVM , game and emu crash with this error : ---------------------------
Fatal error
---------------------------
Unhandled Win32 exception 0xC0000005.
Segfault reading location 000000017ffe90f8 at 0000000010379f0e.

Function address: 0000000010379ed0 (base+0x379ed0).
RPCS3 image base: 0000000000010000.
-While launching with PPU interpreter i get :
F {PPU[0x1000003] Thread (FS AIO Thread) [0x00219b54]} struct vm::access_violation thrown: Access violation reading address 0xffff90f8
S {Audio Thread} XAudio 2.7 initialized
As a side note Metal Slug3 installed as rpk with rap) is running fine at 60 fps.
Could you guys please help me get this game at least started? I have seen some 2014 footage of another Railfan game running till menu on
rpcs3, i think this shod run as well. Its mostly streaming with little 3d in game.
Thank you for your time reading this
Attach the full log file, rpcs3.log. Put it in a .zip or something first.

Sorry about the missing log and ty for reply.
I have attached a rar with the log as you asked
Other notes.
My RPCS3 version is : 0.0.1.3
PC spec:
I5 750 occ 3.6 ghz
Gtx 960 (4 gb vram)
Memory 8 gb ram
OS: Windows 7 64 bit
Load libraries sre, spurs_jq, resc, rtc, font, fontFT, freetype, freetypeFT
Also, what matters about the rpcs3 version you're using is the commit ID which you didn't indicate above but it's in the log so you don't need to go grab it.
Test with both Interpreters (fast) first though.
Desktop: Ryzen 7 5800X, Radeon RX 6800 XT, 2x8G DDR4 3600MHz, Manjaro Linux
Laptop: Ryzen 9 5900HX, Radeon RX 6700M, 2x8G DDR4 3200MHz, Manjaro Linux
Old Desktop: AMD FX-8350, Radeon R9 280X, 2x4G DDR3 1600MHz, Manjaro Linux

Ty for advice.
Did that, loaded all e libraries except for freetyoeFT since i dont have, i loaded instead freetypeTT since that one is available.
Tried with all the interpreters, still instant access violation error as before
With ppu and fpu set on interpreter i get:
F {PPU[0x1000003] Thread (FS AIO Thread) [0x00219b54]} struct vm::access_violation thrown: Access violation reading address 0xffff90f8
Note: if i set the FPU to Recompiler i get a different access violation not regarding AIO as before:
F {PPU[0x1000002] Thread (sound thread) [0x0020c238]} struct vm::access_violation thrown: Access violation writing address 0x0
S {Audio Thread} XAudio 2.7 initialized
Added new log as well if needed
Another strange thing, if i just leave RPCS3 as downloaded without any libs, Metal Slug 3 runs fine with sound, but if i ad the lib files as well in the dev_flash folder even without checking any of them in the emulator i lose all sound on Metal Slug3. I dont know if this is relevant to my main problem but wanted to mention that to.
Any other things i can try ?
For when you have no sound press Restart until it has. As for those access violations, I don't think there's much to do.
What if you load sysfs alongside those?

I cant find sysfs in my library , maybe im to noob for this
Try with the long list of LLE modules from here: http://www.emunewz.net/forum/showthread.php?tid=175609
Usually fixes most problems related to video playback. Try it with and without libvdec.

The file should be called 'libfs.prx' (or .sprx)

Ok, will try this and let you know how it went !
EDIT: Tried again with all those libs with and without libvdec, same FS AIO Thread access violation.
I just dont understand how this guy managed to get in game so easily with another version of Railfan on a much earlier RPCS3 build (0.0.0.5)
Youtube video dating 2014: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MPpoTJ7sxII
Should i try with an older version like him, ?
Btw thanks again for your effort, if didnt really love that train sim (usually i love trains and train simulator on PC ) i would have just gave up on this.
