I boot the game into RPCS3, and I am greeted with this in the log:

http://pastebin.com/T8Y3KsKU

Can someone explain what is happening? I get a grey screen using Vulkan and just a black screen using anything else.

That's not the log. Log file is RPCS3.log, you need to upload it as an attachment or to pastebin if it fits there.
You need to load libresc according to those few console outputs.
Moved the thread to CG - General Discussion until it meets the submission guidelines.

Here is the real log: http://pastebin.com/s1FW5QnF

Dumb question: How do I load libresc?

Check the guide on my signature on a few tips on how to start, you should also place the game (BLJM61255 folder) under /dev_hdd0/game/
On settings there's an option that says load libraries, type libresc on the search bar and tick the box for it. Do the same with libsre and libspurs_jq.

Thank you so much. I booted it up and it showed the splash screens! Then this happened: http://imgur.com/a/FvmOx

I translated it and it said that no save data was found, and if I would be okay starting from the beginning.
I hit yes and it exited out/crashed. I tried no, then it just kept repeating the prompt.

Log:

Thank you so much for your help so far! Smile

Edit: actually it didn't crash, it just stayed on a black screen

I believe you can also load libsail and libsail_avi. Those might require a few more as well, but start with just those two.
As for the save data, getting a savefile of the game from a real PS3 should probably get you past that.

Again thank you so much for your help. With those modules, I managed to get to the title screen. Problem is, the emulator says it can't open data.rom, the file that contains 99% of the game's assets. That's probably why when I try to play a movie from the "Gallery", it just does a quick fade and goes back to the same menu. It also can not successfully start a new game. fades and crashes. I assume this is because the emulator can't open the data.rom file. Which module(s) would be able to help with that? Log attached in 7zip file because neither pastebin nor this thread would accept my log in .txt form or .log form, partly because it was 600 kilobytes starting fresh Tongue

Ok so now it seems to require the video related modules.
Turn those off: libad_billboard_util.prx, libad_core.prx, libaudio.prx, libsysutil_savedata.prx, libsysutil_video_player.prx (unless you really need them to progress, if so leave them on, but I'm pretty sure at least one or two aren't needed)
Add lib10n and test again.
Then add: libpamf, libdmux, libdmux_pamf, libvdec and test again.

The emulator will still not play movies, and according to the console, not open the magic data.rom (the one with all the assets). I did exactly as you asked, except I needed the video player and the save data to get to the menu. Log is attached.

For video, try adding: libsjvtd, libdivxdec, libmp4, libmvcdec, libdivx311dec, libsmvd2, libsvc1d, libsmvd4 (depending on the codec the video files use one of them might work).

What happens if you try setting the Audio to Null or enabling libadec?
It's probably a cellGcm problem which you can't LLE load, but I'm not completely sure (about it being a gcm problem, I'm sure you can't LLE load it).
Also it might complain about not being able to load some files and load them afterwards.
Probably someone with more knowledge on this could step in in regards to that.
