CPU Requirement

I understand it’s a bit early to know for certain what CPU is required to play all games on RPCS3 with the internal resolution cranked up to 4K, but hopefully there is enough insight to know the answer.  Basically I am wondering if an i7-7740X running at around 5.1 to 5.3Ghz with or without hyperthreading would be enough CPU power to drive games at 60fps (patched if normally a 30fps game).  Or if an 8core CPU is required, possibly a release a few years down the road when the CPU is faster than what is available today?  I’m not worried about necessary GPU power cause it’s much easier to pop in a new GPU than a CPU.
