From your description, still Ingame then, specially since those results are on an 8c16t R7 1700, or do you believe it that it will perform properly on the six-core ryzens?

I tried to put the game at 300% resolution scale and i had the same framerate as when it was in 720p, 30fps while playing and sometimes drops under that when doing signature moves ( Which makes you invincible ) or killing a lot of enemies at once, which usually happens when doing a signature move, from what rivatuner overlay showed me, my cpu was not even used to 50% so i think it should work with a six core ryzen at least on 720p, but i don't have one right now to test.
