Playable. Maintains between 45-60 fps but always runs at full speed. Sound issues I had were fixed by turning SPU threads to 1 (and maybe disabling loop detection).
The PSN version has been played through new game+ so I only tested the first few areas and fights but had no issues, so this should reasonably be playable too. If anyone has a disc specific issue, please make a post.
