Silent Hill Downpour [BLUS30565]

I have a problem , in the prison I have to push down a beam to create a ledge, I have to mash x but no matter how many times I push the button it won't do anything and I exit the scene after a few seconds, basically I'm stuck, I can't progress in the game, I'm using a ps4 controller, and I have about 6 FPS when I try to push it, I think this may be the cause, I usually have around 15-25 FPS in the game, I tried all kinds of setting to improve the fps but no matter what I always have around 5-6 fps, does anyone have a save file just past this point? or a solution to the problem? btw I'm running the latest rpcs3 and the latest firmware from sony
