RX 460
8GB RAM

And now that AMD Threadripper is coming,
It's 16 cores would work best for RPCS3,
And it has a decent single core performance too.
Very cheap for the 16 cores,1000$ price tag.

I remember reading at PCSX2 forums that AMD processors as opposed to Intel, were not suited for emulation because they were made for PC gaming. While Intel CPUs were also made for scientific calculations.

Hence why for high end system requirement emulation, Intel CPUs were usually better. Eg a cheap i3 would have double the performance of a top end AMD on PCSX2.

Is this no longer the case with RCPS3 and is there a parity between Intel and AMD?

They probably referred to the outdated bulldozer.

Ryzen is fine for emulation. Besides, it's cheaper. Big Grin
