DVD disk won't load

Hi there,
Just installed RPCS3 on my W11 system.
Firmware is up and running.
DVD drive is a Slimtype DVD A DA8AESH.
Whatever commands I try to use in the interface to access the game binary (RDR 1), the disk is ejected and I get a message "Please insert disk".
Two questions if I may:
a) What did I do wrong, please?
b) is it possible to run the game from the DVD or should I have to copy the game folder on my laptop to the right location?

Read the Quickstart Guide again, this is the main component of it.

PS3 games do not come in DVDs. There's a list of compatible BD drives in the guide.
