I have just installed RPCS3 based on the latest repositories.

I am attempting to get my Dual Shock 3 controllers to work.

They are authentic controllers purchased back in the day. And I have confirmed they are working and connecting to my comptuter.

I believe the PS3 interface "game" is working, "the database on the system storage will be rebuilt" but my controller apparently is not being sensed

I am running on an Ubuntu Linux distro, now I saw the indication about creating new files to get controllers to work https://wiki.rpcs3.net/index.php?title=H...figuration

HOWEVER my controller already works perfectly on flatpack games and PCSX2, so I am unclear if that is still necessary in this case? I am wary of fiddling with it unilaterally given it is working on other things and I am afraid of causing issues with them. Is that still necessary given that it works otherwise?
